Ghost
You only let me catch glimpses of you,
You only let me hear whispers,
But I know you are there,
Listening to me scream and cry,
As my world collapses.
I feel a breath, a cold hand,
Small comforts of a ghost,
But it is enough to know I am not alone.
You give me strength and a need,
When I can not live for me, I live for you.
Childhood slips past,
I am shoved into adulthood,
Yet you let me dream,
Dream of you, dream of us,
Small gifts of ghosts,
But is it enough for me,
You are my shadow in another world.
